Legacy For Health Against E-Cigs
The American Legacy Foundation has released a statement which makes the bold claims that “consumers are taking unknown risks by using e-cigarettes,” contributing another misinformed, scaremongering piece of pseudo-scientific nonsense to a debate where lives literally hang in the balance. They advocate the use of traditional nicotine replacement therapies, which will generally only successfully help 17 out of 100 people. Let’s think for a second about what they’re proposing that those other 83 people do… Yep, if the current NRT products have failed you, you should be “wary” of using e-cigarettes, so assumedly the only option left from Legacy’s perspective is good old, carcinogenic tobacco.
Southern California Vapers
So Cal, and more specifically Orange County, has been hit by another phenomenon in recent months. As an OC resident, it seems as though the rising popularity of electronic cigarettes is especially strong in the area, where the market has absolutely exploded. There are currently over 30 brick & mortar shops in the county alone and a ever-growing number of "vapers" that will soon outnumber smokers.
Cigarette flavor e-cig
For smokers just switching to vaping, one of the most common questions is: “which e-liquid will taste like my favorite brand of cigarettes?” However, you quickly learn that finding an e-liquid that tastes like Marlboro cigarettes, for example, is not an easy task. So, do you keep searching for the e-liquid that will manage to perfectly replicate your chosen brand of cigarettes, or is there another way?
Countries that Have Banned E-Cigarettes
It’s hard to see why anybody who was aware of e-cigarettes and has done some basic research on them could possibly conclude that they should be banned, but several countries have made that exact decision. You might be wondering why anybody would move to ban something with so much potential to reduce the harm associated with smoking, but the reasons don’t really stand up to much scrutiny. Here’s a list of the countries where e-cigarettes are banned, and a look at the most common reasons.
E-Cig Technologies
The main improvements are likely to take the form of improved manufacturing processes – to keep things like the heavy metal content of vapor to an absolute minimum – but in some areas, e-cigs are still in need of some high-tech innovation. Here are the top five technologies we think e-cigs are missing.
NNA E-Cigarette Flavor Briefing
A briefing organized by the New Nicotine Alliance at the sixth Global Forum on Nicotine underlined the importance of flavors for the success of vaping, and called the logic of flavor bans - as currently being proposed across the US - arguing that they could cause more harm than good.
October has seen the release of some great mods, including one from legendary manufacturer ProVape, and some notable dripping atomizers, RTAs and sub-ohm tanks, with plenty of innovative design decisions thrown into the mix along the way. So let’s look at what October had to bring.
Need to write an innuendo-laden, scientific-sounding piece of scaremongering bullshit good enough to make an ex-smoking vaper decide to toss away the safer alternative and pick up a pack of comfortingly-deadly traditional cigarettes? Never fear: we have you covered.
It is widely known and acknowledged even in smoker communities that cigarette smoking is extremely harmful for health. Smoking tobacco can lead to a host of sicknesses and cause irreparable damage to the mind, body and soul. Still, there exist some horrific facts that shed a light into this matter.
Organizations do a whole heap of good work in the e-cigarette industry, but plenty of individual people manage to effectively stand their ground against the crusade of lies propagated by anti-smoking groups, the tobacco industry and regulatory bodies such as the FDA. Ultimately, the lobbying power of individuals will always pale in comparison to that of organizations, but the continued work of numerous people helps to disseminate much-needed accurate information about e-cigs. These are five of the most influential individuals in the electronic cigarette industry around today.
They may be designed as a safer method of getting the nicotine you crave, but there are nicotine free electronic cigarettes on offer from many manufacturers. The reasons for this are simple, although it may seem confusing and counter-productive at first. Offering different levels of nicotine in the cartridges is commonplace, and the majority of manufacturers do have a nicotine-free option. The companies don’t claim that electronic cigarettes can help users quit, but research into the area does suggest that they can. As a result, many people use e-cigs for that reason, and a nicotine free e-cigarette is a useful tool for those trying to quit.
