E-Cigs Don't work
One of the arguments often put forwards by current smokers is that e-cigs are actually ineffective for their intended purpose. It’s often said with an underlying smugness, an inherent assumption that tobacco cigs are “the real thing” and e-cigs are just a childish imitation which could never replace their analogue habit.
Naturally-extracted tobacco (NET) e-liquid is widely-recommended by those searching for the most realistic tobacco e-liquids, but results from e-liquid chemical and toxicological studies would suggest that they carry slightly greater risks than your average e-liquid. But is the added risk worthwhile? We take a look at the pros and cons of NET e-liquids.
Imagine that after 20 years of smoking, 5 of which were spent trying to quit using patches, nicotine gum, inhalers and pills, you finally found a solution. Through a combination of will power and an electronic cigarette, you haven’t lit up a real smoke in almost 2 months. Your health has drastically improved and your significant other no longer despises the smell of your clothes. However, despite being tobacco free, the government suddenly decides to label you as a smoker yet again. The sense of freedom acquired from avoiding tobacco is gone, as you are restricted to only using your healthy alternative in designated smoking areas.
Countries that Have Banned E-Cigarettes
It’s hard to see why anybody who was aware of e-cigarettes and has done some basic research on them could possibly conclude that they should be banned, but several countries have made that exact decision. You might be wondering why anybody would move to ban something with so much potential to reduce the harm associated with smoking, but the reasons don’t really stand up to much scrutiny. Here’s a list of the countries where e-cigarettes are banned, and a look at the most common reasons.
International Vapor Group (IVG), manufacturer of South Beach Smoke and EverSmoke, is using this as an opportunity to introduce participants to e-cigarettes. This year’s No Smoking Day is all about showcasing the benefits smokers attain from quitting their expensive and unhealthy habit. For those not willing to completely abstain from nicotine, e-cigarettes are a still highly beneficial option. IVG has made it clear that smokers switching to their e-cigarette brands will still save a nice chunk of change as well as reap the health benefits associated from quitting smoking.
Why Restaurants and Bars Should Promote E-Cigarettes
The days when you could smoke tobacco in bars are coming to an end. As more and more states opt for smoke-free laws which affect restaurants and bars, you will see people lighting up inside less and less. One of the biggest benefits of e-cigarettes is that since they don’t create smoke – they produce vapor – they are not subject to “No Smoking” rules of any description. However, businesses are free to choose if they allow e-cigarettes in their establishments, so the future of indoor nicotine consumption is still uncertain. So far, however, businesses that have embraced the technology have benefited from it, and there are several reasons why.
Southern California Vapers
So Cal, and more specifically Orange County, has been hit by another phenomenon in recent months. As an OC resident, it seems as though the rising popularity of electronic cigarettes is especially strong in the area, where the market has absolutely exploded. There are currently over 30 brick & mortar shops in the county alone and a ever-growing number of "vapers" that will soon outnumber smokers.
