Premium e-juice is kind of vaguely defined, but most vapers can still easily tell a premium e-juice from the standard fare.
For example, the huge range of vape juice flavors from a company like Mr. Baker Vapor or Vape Wild (when they were still in business) are perfect examples of “ordinary” e-juice: fairly no-frills flavor choices available for an affordable price, where quantity is more of a focus than quality.
Premium e-juices, on the other hand, usually consist of smaller lines of juice with more complex and well-crafted flavors, with a higher price tag to go along with it.
10 Best Premium E-Juice Brands
What are the best premium vape juice brands around? Here’s a run-down of some of the best options for flavor-lovers.
Pachamama
You can pick up the Pachamama juices here.
Pachamama takes the top spot on this best premium e-liquid list thanks to their delicious and inventive fruit combinations. The brand comes from the same company that made Charlie’s Chalk Dust, but it’s a specialist line for fruit-infused flavors.
The flavor names are also kind of self-explanatory, such as Peach Papaya Coconut, Blood Orange Banana, Icy Mango, Honeydew Melon, Strawberry Guava Jackfruit, Huckleberry Pear Acai and others in the same vein. Notably, Fuji offers a mixture of apple, strawberry, and Nectarine, and Apple Tobacco combines the two ingredients in a way that’s much tastier than you’re probably imagining – up there with the best tobacco flavors we’ve tried over the years.
Pachamama has both a regular line and a salts line (we have a review of the Pachamama salts here), with the regular e-juices coming in 60 ml bottles with the option of 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine and the salts coming in 30 ml bottles with either 25 or 50 mg/ml of nicotine.
The regular juices have 70% VG, while the salt blends opt for a 50/50 mix so they can work well in pod systems. The standard prices are $14.99 for the regular e-liquids and $13.99 for the salts, but DirectVapor has some of the regular ones on sale (at time of writing) for only $9.95.
Naked 100
The standard juices cost $17.95 per 60 ml bottle, and the salts are $19.99 per 30 ml.
Naked 100 is one of the best premium vape juice companies that don’t hide behind pretentious descriptions or fancy packaging: the whole line-up is totally minimalist and understated, but they’ve earned a reputation for quality over the years.
The company is best known for fruity flavors with an emphasis on accuracy and a clean taste rather than the sort of overly-sweet options that are common across the industry. The result is exceptional flavors like Hawaiian Pog (pineapple, orange and guava) and Lava Flow (strawberry, pineapple and coconut), which are entirely carried by the accuracy of the fruit replications and the inventive combinations, but still manage to be delicious.
They’ve expanded their line-up from the early days, though, including (of course) a salts line (read our Naked 100 review here) of their classic flavors, but also a couple of tobacco flavors: American Patriots and Cuban Blend.
Many vapers may opt for the fruitier flavors, but if you’re looking for high-quality tobaccos or you’ve just switched from smoking, these are very welcome additions. The standard line-up varies in PG/VG ratio depending on flavor (with 70% VG on average), with a choice of 0, 3, 6 or 12 mg/ml of nicotine, and the salts come in either 35 or 50 mg/ml of nicotine, with a 50/50 PG/VG mix.
Dinner Lady
You can pick up the standard line-up for $19.99 a bottle, or the salts for $14.99.
The prices from the official site are basically the same, so it’s better to just buy from whichever offers cheaper shipping.
Dinner Lady is the first (and only) UK-based company to make this best premium e-liquid list, but they earned their position through some delicious flavors, especially the Lemon Tart blend that really put them on the map. The official site (UK-based) has the entire product line, but you can pick up some of their most well-known offerings from US-based sellers too, particularly Lemon Tart (meringue and lemon curd) and Strawberry Macaroon. These are available in 60 ml bottles with either 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine, with a 70% VG mix.
However, there is much more on offer from Dinner Lady than this, even including disposable vape pens or their line of CBD e-liquids. For most vapers, though, the next most important offering from the company will be the nicotine salt line-up, which brings some of their classic flavors in 30 ml bottles, with a 50/50 PG/VG mix and either 30 or 50 mg/ml of nicotine.
Glas Vapor E-Liquid
You can pick up Glas Vapor for $14.99.
Glas originally focused on producing high-end mods, but their expansion into the world of e-liquid has opened their products up to more vapers than ever thanks to the combination of delicious flavors and pretty reasonable prices.
The juices can be split into two main lines: the “Basix” line and the Badge Collection, with the Basix in particular inspiring their position on this best premium ejuice list. The Badge Collection may look like the fancier offerings – coming in 75 ml glass bottles with an emphasis on quality – but despite excellent flavors like Glazed (essentially a fancy vanilla-flavored donut juice), the Basix collection really blows them out of the water.
The Basix line comes in standard 60 ml unicorn bottles, with the line-up aiming to cover all the basic flavor categories. This means it offers something for everyone, including (for example) an RY4 flavor (Creamy RY4 Butterscotch Reserve) to cater to vapers looking for a tobacco juice, options like Juicy Mango Tango and Caribbean Punch for those who prefer fruity flavors, and others like Cinnamon Sweet Sugar Cookie, Icy Cool Melon and Banana Cream Pie to fill out the range.
The Basix line (0, 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine) and the salts line (30 ml bottles with 30 or 50 mg/ml) cost $14.99 each, while the Badge Collection are $11.99 for 75 ml.
Yami Vapor
You can pick up Yami Vapor here (100 ml bottles cost $19.99 and the salts are $14.99).
Yami Vapor is a relatively new entrant to the industry in comparison to companies like Five Pawns, but they’ve picked up a huge amount of buzz very quickly thanks to their inventive and well-captured flavors. In particular, the Portuguese egg tart (custard inside a flaky crust) blend Taruto, the mango and mangosteen flavor Shaka, and the tobacco, bourbon and vanilla blend Kemuri are three juices that really catapulted them to fame and a big part of the reason they’re considered among the best premium vape juice brands on the market.
The main line-up also includes Juusu (apples, peach and lychee), Icy Trio (strawberry, kiwi and lychee), Butter Brew (butterscotch), Milkgat (milk and nougat), Mika (passion fruit, orange and guava), Yuki (Miki with menthol) and Gorudo (roasted Japanese sweet potato).
As with many other premium vape juice companies, they’ve also launched a couple of additional lines to expand their product line, including a selection of nicotine salts and the Chibi Bar line, which includes granola-inspired flavors. The main line-up and Chibi Bar come in 100 ml bottles, with options of 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine, and the salts come in 30 ml bottles with either 35 or 50 mg/ml of nicotine.
Five Pawns
You can pick up Five Pawns here.
The Original Series is priced at $25.99 for 60 ml bottles, the Fruit and Fruit Ice series cost $18.99 each, and the tobaccos $20.99 each, with a choice of 0, 3, 6 and 12 mg/ml in each.
You couldn’t really have a run-down of the best premium vape juice brands without Five Pawns. They were pretty much the first explicitly premium e-liquid brand on the market, and certainly the most famous for the whole debate surrounding “premium” e-juice and how much is too much to pay.
The price has definitely improved along with the rest of the industry since then, but you can still pick up the whole original line-up, including Gambit (apple pie and vanilla ice cream), Queenside (orange cream and vanilla), Grandmaster (peanut, banana and caramel), Bowden’s Mate (mint, vanilla and chocolate), Castle Long (coconut, almond, vanilla and bourbon), Black Flag Risen (coffee, tobacco, vanilla, cocoa and walnut) and Symmetry Six (strawberry, rhubarb, vanilla and graham cracker).
The brand has expanded since the early days, though, with three additional line-ups added to the collection: the Tobacco Series, the Fruit Series and the Fruit Ice Series. The Tobacco Series includes three types of tobacco (Brazilian, Burley and Havana), while the Fruit and Fruit Ice Series have five options each (Berry Limeade, Mango Passion, Melon Mash, Nana Berry and Pineapple Kiwi), with the Ice versions adding menthol.
Vapetasia
Pick up Vapetasia juices for $17.99 here.
Vapetasia is one of the only companies on this list that is mainly known for a single flavor, but their whole line-up is full of delicious offerings primarily built around the same key concept.
The juice you’re most likely to know from the mixer is Killer Kustard, a classic vanilla custard mix that’s executed well enough to put a whole company on the map. The other juices in the same line expand on the key benefits of this, though, including Killer Kustard Strawberry, Blueberry and Lemon, which all feature the well-captured custard base with additional notes to separate them.
Possibly their next most well-known juice is Milk of the Poppy, which mixes strawberry, dragon fruit and cream for a delicious blend of fruit and sweetness. They also have some lemonade-based juices, including Pink Lemonade, Blackberry Lemonade and Peach Lemonade, as well as the breakfast cereal inspired Rainbow Road.
The regular juices from the line-up come in huge 100 ml bottles, available in 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine, while the salt options come in 30 ml bottles with a choice of either 24 or 48 mg/ml of nicotine. The Salt line only contains the original custard juices, but they’re a great option if you’re looking for something special for a pod-style vape device.
Both the 100 ml regular bottles and the 30 ml salt bottles from Vapetasia cost $17.99. Although Killer Kustard is a big part of the reason they’re considered one of the best premium e-liquid brands, the other flavors are definitely worth trying too.
Twist E-Liquid
You can pick up Twist for $21.95.
Twist E-Liquid is another California-based e-juice company aiming to produce the best premium vape juice on the market without succumbing to pretentiousness and high prices. The brand originally focused on lemonade-based flavors (see our review of the original Lemon Twist line), combining a well-captured lemonade base with a fruity component for each of the flavors.
These juices did a pretty solid job on their own, but (as with many premium e-liquid brands) they now offer multiple lines, including the Cookie Twist line, 360, Twist Salt and the original line-up. Flavors include Wild Red (watermelon lemonade), Dragonthol (dragonfruit and menthol), Tobacco Platinum, Frosted Sugar Cookie, Golden Honey Bomb (milk and honey) and many others.
The juices come in two-packs, with the regular line including two 60 ml bottles and the salt line including two 30 ml bottles. The regular line offers a choice of 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine, with a 70% VG mix, while the salt line-up has either 35 or 50 mg/ml of nicotine with a 50/50 PG/VG mix so they work in pod system devices.
For an award-winning e-juice brand, the prices are pretty impressive: with both the 120 ml regular packs and the 60 ml salt packs costing $21.95.
Beard Vape Co.
The Beard Vape standard line comes in 60 ml bottles for $15.99, the One juices cost $24.95 per 100 ml, and you can pick up the salts for $16.99 here.
Beard Vape Co. has been a big name in the vaping industry for some time now, thanks to their ever-expanding line-up and the excellent combinations they’ve produced along the way – as well as the recognizable hipster-ish logo.
Like many of the best premium e-juice brands, they have separated their offerings into different lines, with the original juices named with numbers, and the One line-up having simpler, more to-the-point names. Available flavors include #32 (cinnamon funnel cake), the One Strawberry, Lemon Crumble Cake, Apple Donut Milk and Marshmallow Milk, among many others.
The juices from Beard Vape Co. are available in 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine, and they also have some flavors available in their Beard Salts line, with smaller bottles and 30 or 50 mg/ml of nicotine. For the regular line-up, most of the juices have a 70% VG mix, while the salt options have a 50/50 PG/VG mix so they perform better in pod systems.
Most suppliers don’t carry the full line-up, though, so it’s worth checking a couple to see what you can get.
The Finest E-Liquid
You can pick up The Finest E-Liquid here.
The juices are available in 120 ml (two 60 ml bottles) for $19.99, or 30 ml salt nicotine options for $13.99 a bottle. The regular line-up is available in 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine, while the salt nic options come in 30 or 50 mg/ml.
The Finest is a California-based e-liquid company with an explicit focus on quality, describing their juices as “handcrafted” and valuing originality and innovation above all else. The good news for vapers is that the juices are delicious and the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality you get.
The e-liquids are separated into several different lines, including the Crème De La Crème collection, Sweet & Sour, Finest Saltnic, the Signature Edition and the Fruit Edition. Available flavors include VCT (vanilla custard tobacco), Mango Berry, Apple Pearadise, Strawberry Chew, Banana Honey, Lychee Dragon and many others.
The Finest E-Liquid is one of the best premium vape juice brands largely thanks to the sizeable selection of high-quality, carefully-crafted flavors. They clearly put a lot of care in developing every one of their juices, and there is enough variety in the line-up to keep most vapers happy.
Final thoughts
Just a few years ago, the best premium vape juice on the market would have cost around $1 per ml, with very few flavor options and you’d have had to pick it up from the manufacturer or not get it at all.
It’s a testament to how far the industry has come in such a short space of time that not only are prices lower and online vape stores more likely to carry premium e-liquids, you can also pick them up for much cheaper than ever before, with rapidly expanding flavor selections. There’s never been a better time to buy premium e-juice.
This list focuses on premium, high-end, and expensive vape juice flavors, but we also have a list of the best cheap vape juices if you need to pick something up on the more affordable end of the spectrum.
