Are they worth buying?
Although they’re primarily a subscription service, Craft Vapery’s own-brand e-juices are great, overall: they all do a fantastic job of capturing the intended flavors and all make for an excellent vape. It’s Toast! in particular is a jaw-droppingly accurate and absolutely delicious, but the other two flavors are also definitely enjoyable.
The price may be a little high, and the other two might not quite hit the soaring heights of awesomeness of It’s Toast!, but they’re all very enjoyable juices, regardless, and definitely worth trying out!
Full review
California-based Craft Vapery started out an e-juice subscription service, but after expanding into also being an online vape store, they’ve now developed their own line of e-liquids. The overall aim behind the “Certifiably Vapable” juices was to create a set of flavors they’d always dreamed of but never been able to find, and the three flavors – the Thai dessert-inspired Sticky Rice, the toast and jam It’s Toast! and the self-explanatory Cornbread – are definitely unique mixes.
But being unique doesn’t guarantee quality – there could be a very good reason nobody has tried to make vape-able cornbread, for example – so does the Craft Vapery line-up deliver in terms of flavor? We’ve tasted the three juices for our Craft Vapery Certifiably Vapable Liquids review to find out.
Packaging and Design
The Craft Vapery juices are pretty appealing-looking, with a predominantly white color scheme accented by different colors to match the specific juices – yellow for the cornbread, pink for the jam and toast and orange for the sticky rice. They all come in glass bottles, with child-proof dripper caps included.
The design of the bottles works really well, with the label arranged into rectangular blocks, each containing a key piece of information like the name of the flavor, the nicotine level, the PG/VG ratio, a little icon representing each flavor, the expected set of warnings and the bottle size. The alternating colors and irregular sizes of the different blocks give the whole thing a kind of patchwork look that works excellently.
They’re priced at $12 for a 15 ml bottle, $22 for a 30 ml bottle and $69 for a 120 ml bottle.
Mixing Options
The juices from Craft Vapery are available in four nicotine levels, 0, 3, 6 and 12 mg/ml. This is absolutely fine for most vapers, but it would be nice to have an extra 18 mg/ml option for just-switching smokers. The PG/VG ratio is fixed at 40/60 on all of the juices, which offers a good balance between vapor production and throat hit, while maintaining a viscosity that works well for pretty much any type of atomizer.
Craft Vapery Certifiably Vapable Liquids Flavors
Sticky Rice – Rating 4/5
Accuracy: This is a mango and sticky rice e-juice inspired by the namesake Thai dessert, and topped off with some creamy coconut milk. The mango here is well-captured, coming through with a pleasantly sweet and fruity flavor on the nose as you inhale. The mango forms the bulk of the taste of the juice, with the flavor being muted a little by the undercurrents of coconut milk. The sticky rice is (understandably) less readily detectable, but the overall taste is definitely true to that of the dessert.
Overall: Sticky Rice works very well as an e-juice, offering an exotic, fruity flavor with a sharp, realistic tang that’s softened just the right amount by the creamy coconut backing the whole thing up. The result is an all day vape for me, with the perfect amount of sweetness to be consistently enjoyable without getting too sickly. It might not be the most exciting flavor, but if you love tropical fruit and creamy flavors, it’s a must-vape juice.
Cornbread – Rating 3.5/5
Accuracy: This juice is a cornbread and honey butter flavor, making it another unique mix from Craft Vapery. The flavor is definitely authentic, with the cornbread coming through clearly (especially on the inhale) and evoking memories of the genuine article and having a sort of fresh-baked taste to it. It has a warming, homey flavor and the honey butter notes accompany it throughout, rounding out the flavor very nicely and adding a pleasant touch of sweetness to the mix. The juice is exactly as described – another one that hits the nail on the head from Craft.
Overall: If you like cornbread, you’ll love this juice: it’s authentic enough to satisfy those looking for the flavor in vape-able form and the sweetness from the honey butter brings it closer to the cake end of the spectrum and makes it more generally enjoyable even outside of the homey, nostalgic appeal. The only downside is a very off, fart-spray like room note, which – unusually – you can even pick up as a lingering smell after vaping it first-hand. It’s awesome when you’re vaping it, but you feel a bit bad for people in the same room as you.
It’s Toast! – Rating 5/5
Accuracy: This is a berry jam and nutty, wholegrain toast e-juice, offering a unique flavor for an e-liquid that you’re unlikely to find elsewhere. In terms of accuracy, this is an absolute knockout – not only does the jam come through beautifully, with just the right balance between fruitiness and sugary sweetness, the toast itself is excellently done, it’s not only bready, it really does taste like wholegrain toast. It’s so well-captured the flavor really comes to life – it’s genuinely very, very close to the real flavor.
Overall: Toast and jam might not sound like the sort of e-juice you’d rave about, but in this case it really, really is. The jam and hints of nut are the elements you’d assume would carry the flavor and make it a juice you keep coming back to, but for me it’s the extraordinarily well-replicated toast that does it: it pulls the whole thing together with a wholesome, realistic flavor and makes the juice an absolute pleasure to vape. Easily the best of the bunch from Craft Vapery, a definite all day vape and one of those juices that I’ll keep coming back to.
