Bottom Line
Naked 100 Salt is a great line-up of juices, maintaining the quality of the standard line but with the addition of nicotine salts to make them satisfying to vape from simple pod devices. For lovers of fruity juices in particular, they’re top-quality and highly recommended.

Naked 100 Salt

Are they worth picking up?

The Naked 100 Salt line brings the same quality of flavor as the main line-up to the world of pod devices, and for that alone they’re well worth trying out.

Naked 100 has a great approach to taste – keep it simple and ensure the replications are top-notch. For fruit juices in particular they absolutely knock it out of the park, and there is no drop in quality when it comes to the salt line-up.

The price of $19.99 for a 30 ml bottle is a touch more expensive than some other salt juices on the market, but they’re well worth paying a little more for thanks to the exceptional quality.

NKD 100 Salt E-Liquid Review

Naked 100’s original line-up of juices is excellent. The flavors are straight and to the point, with realistically captured fruits, some great combinations and a generally understated quality. But with the advent of salt nicotine e-juices, many companies are putting out alternative lines in salt form made specifically for pod-style devices. The Naked 100 Salt line is their attempt to do just that. The PG/VG ratio and the strength and type of nicotine have changed, but the flavors promise to be the same ones we loved in the original line-up. But do they manage to capture the taste of the juices well enough that they’ll be enjoyable from a lower-power pod device? Our Naked 100 Salt review tries a couple of the juices to find out.

Bottles and Design

NKD 100 Salt - Bottles

The juices from Naked 100 Salt basically follow the design cues of the original brand. The “NKD 100 Salt” logo sits at the top of the central portion of the label, with three icons representing the components of the flavor underneath, the name of the flavor below that and the nicotine strength underneath that. The rest of the label is taken up by ingredients, warnings and the FDA-mandated nicotine warning, as well as a reminder not to sub ohm these juices. Presentation-wise, this is all pretty good, and the bottles come in individual boxes too, which is a little wasteful but does make you feel like you’re getting something special.

The bottles themselves are small 30 ml Gorilla-style bottles, which have become industry-standard for a good reason. They work just as they should, feature good-quality childproofing and thin dripper spouts, which make them ideal for filling pod-style devices. There isn’t much to say here, they get the job done in style.

Mixing Options

Naked 100 Salt E-Juice Review - Nicotine Strength

The Naked 100 Salt juices are specifically designed for pod devices, so they couldn’t keep the same VG-heavy mix as the main line-up of juices. They come in 50/50 PG/VG, which keeps the juices thin in consistency so they work well with the vast majority (if not all) of pod systems on the market. The even mix means that you don’t sacrifice too much in the way of vapor production either, with the juices offering good vapor production alongside a contribution to the throat hit from the PG. You don’t get any options, but really there isn’t much you could do with salt nicotine juices anyway.

For nicotine strengths, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the only options available are high-nicotine. You can either pick the juices up in 35 mg/ml (3.5 %) or 50 mg/ml (5 %) nicotine, both of which offer plenty of nicotine to keep your cravings in check. I picked up the lower-strength ones because it’s been a while since I quit smoking, but I feel like you’d only need the higher-nicotine option if you were a fairly heavy smoker.

Overall, there are limited options available in Naked 100 Salt’s juices, but they tick all the boxes you’re looking for if you’re using salt nicotine liquid.

Naked 100 Salt Review – The Flavors

NKD 100 Salt Review - The Flavors

Lava Flow – Rating 4.5/5

Accuracy: Lava Flow is a strawberry, coconut and pineapple blend, shooting for a tropical punch type mix that evokes afternoons spent lazing on a sun-kissed beach. The result is pretty good too, with the pineapple and strawberry both coming through noticeably throughout your draw, and each one coming to the forefront of the juice at different times. Both components are really well-captured, with a clean, fruity sweetness in both, with a touch of sharpness from the pineapple and a more rounded, decadent sweetness from the strawberry. The coconut isn’t easy to pick up among this quite crowded mixture of tastes, but provides a pleasant backdrop to the flavor.

Overall: Lava Flow was great in the original line-up and it’s still great in nicotine salt form and vaped from a pod device. The fruity mixture goes down really easily, with enough punch to the flavor and two robust components to keep things interesting, while still staying slightly mellow and understated so you don’t get bored of it quickly. This quickly became my all-day vape from the two salt juices, thanks to the well-balanced mix of the two key flavors and the relaxing, tropical punch vibe from the combination.

Maui Sun – Rating 4/5

Accuracy: This juice is billed as a blend of orange, pineapple and tangerine, another kind of tropical punch type flavor but with a strong emphasis on orangey citrus notes. The orange and tangerine are impossible to miss, with the tangerine in particular cutting through the mix with a characteristic bite. Of course, orange is a pretty similar flavor to this, and the two blend together in the juice so it’s not exactly easy to disentangle to two flavors, but both definitely contribute to the main taste. The pineapple isn’t as easy to pick out, but you get hints of it on the nose as you vape.

Overall: Maui Sun is kind of difficult to dislike if you enjoy citrus flavors. The orange and tangerine are really accurately represented, and the flavors come through strongly and robustly with every puff. The only real downside is that despite the combination – and the occasional touches of pineapple that come through – the flavor is a bit one-note, because tangerine and orange are so similar in flavor. It’s also not as good of an all day vape candidate for me because of the strength of the taste, but it’s still very enjoyable none-the-less.
