Suicide Bunny juices are fairly expensive. And the hype surrounding them may go a little too far on occasion. But there is one thing it’s hard to imagine anybody who’s tried the juices disagreeing with: the flavors are absolutely delicious. Every single juice has its own unique character and brings its own inimitable appeal: each one of them is a potential favorite.
So you might have to pay a little more to pick some up, and maybe you should take the hype with a pinch of salt, but if you’re in the market for top-quality juices and want to try the downright legendary flavors, they’re worth every cent.
Suicide Bunny e-liquid is a big name in the vaping industry. With Mother’s Milk being widely-called one of the best e-juice flavors money can buy and the whole line-up being widely-praised by vapers, it goes without saying that there’s a lot of hype.
Suicide Bunny got started in 2013, when creator Pip (“the Bunny”) wanted to put some flavors together to help her husband quit smoking. Since then, Pip has brought her juices onto the world stage, with a dedication to using only the very best, US-made ingredients and putting out truly delicious flavors every single time.
The line up now has five different flavors – The O.B., Derailed, Mother’s Milk, Sucker Punch and Madrina – and every one of them has its staunch supporters. Pip’s dedication to quality and taste above all else has clearly paid off.
If you’re considering picking up some Suicide Bunny juices, the only problem is working out whether they’re really as good as they’re made out to be, or whether the hype-train has run a little out of control. After all, the juices are priced at $22 for a 30 ml bottle, so you’re definitely paying premium prices. So: are they worth it? Our Suicide Bunny review tests out all five juices to find out.
Packaging and Design
Suicide Bunny really knocks it out of the park when it comes to the design. Each of the bottles has its own unique design, with a beautifully-drawn (and undeniably cool) character on each and a distinctive background color for the label.
For example, Mother’s Milk has a heavily tattooed, topless woman with her hands held together in prayer, her eyes closed and some tears of blood streaming down her cheek, and the background is a kind of tattered, leathery brown. The O.B. has an awesome picture of Marilyn Monroe holding two guns, with her hands crossing and the barrels on either side of her face. Her mouth is covered with a bandana like she’s about to rob a bank, and she’s liberally plastered with tattoos; coupled with the deep red background its very striking.
We don’t usually go on too much about the design, but when it’s done this well, the praise is definitely deserved. Every label also has a wax letter-seal design with “Suicide Bunny” written inside, an “SB” logo, “Much love, Pip” in faux-handwriting, the name of the juice, nicotine level and a pretty amusing warning.
The bottles are all glass, and come with high-quality child-proof caps, that open and close as easily as they should without annoying cross-threading or other issues. Overall, both the packaging and design are top-notch.
Mixing Options
The PG/VG ratio for Suicide Bunny juices is a secret, but it’s shifted towards the VG end of the spectrum, offering viscous juices that have just a touch of throat-hit and put out some pretty substantial clouds. It might not be the best blend for just-switching smokers – who tend to appreciate a bit of a throat hit – but the juices really aren’t the sort of thing you pick up when you’re just making the switch anyway.
The nicotine levels available are 0, 3, 6, 12 and 18 mg/ml, with the 3 mg option being great for drippers and the 18 mg/ml offering plenty of nicotine for smokers who’ve recently switched. There isn’t a 24 mg/ml option, but again, Suicide Bunny isn’t really a line of juices you’d pick up when you were just making the switch anyway, so it isn’t such a big deal. We’d always like to see the extra option, but the selection is more than enough for the majority of vapers.
Suicide Bunny E-Juice Flavors
Madrina – Rating 4/5
Accuracy: Madrina is described as a juice with a cream base and “melon tucked into every layer,” and is the personal favorite of Pip herself. The juice definitely delivers in terms of accuracy. The melon comes through clearly, well-captured and realistic to the point of being mouth-watering, and it’s supported by the sweet cream throughout, which adds a layer of richness to the taste. The melon does take center-stage, with the cream being more of a backdrop, but the result is definitely what you’d hope for based on the description.
Overall: This is a great juice, and it’s easy to see why it’s Pip’s favorite: the flavor is light and fruity, but the rich creamy undercurrent makes it one you want to keep coming back to. The melon does have a slightly perfume-y element to it, but it still works well in combination with the soft creamy notes, and seems to add to the realism of the flavor if anything. Overall, the juice is deliciously sweet and fruity, but has a gentle enough edge to make it a potential all day vape.
The O.B. – Rating 4.5/5
Accuracy: The “Original Bunny” (O.B.) is a mystery flavor, but most pick up sweet cream and possibly some cake from the blend. The sweet cream is definitely central to the taste, with it coming through strongly throughout your draw, with a thick, rich sweetness making up the bulk of the flavor. It’s this velvety smoothness that really carries the juice, but I do agree with those who pick up some cake in the mix – there’s a sweet cake taste with just a hint of vanilla in there adding a touch of extra character to the blend.
Overall: This is a definite all day vape for me: the O.B. has just the right amount of sweetness, with the richness and smoothness of the cream making every puff a delight. The juice shows that you don’t need bold flavors to make a delicious e-liquid – the focus on the soft, velvety cream with only subtle additions is precisely what makes this juice so enjoyable. It’s like a vape-able hug; a kind of relaxing, comforting, warm and gentle vape that grows on you very quickly. Plus, the Marilyn label is really awesome.
Sucker Punch – Rating 4.5/5
Accuracy: This is described as a dragon fruit and “silky smooth cream” blend, offering a sharp, fruity vape softened by the creaminess that adds something to almost every Suicide Bunny Juice. The dragon fruit is the dominant flavor in this juice, offering a sharp, slightly sour but primarily sweet hit on both the inhale and the exhale. The cream comes through on the exhale more strongly, but it’s also there on the inhale to soften the harsher elements of the fruit.
Overall: Sucker Punch definitely offers a punch to the palate, with the sharpness of the dragon fruit making your tastebuds sit up and take notice, but the sweetness and rich creaminess coming through to make the juice a genuine pleasure to vape. The result is a stand-out fruity e-liquid, with excellently balanced components so you get to enjoy the sweeter, creamier elements alongside the character from the fruit. It’s not an all day vape for me, but it’s very enjoyable none-the-less.
Derailed – Rating 5/5
Accuracy: This is described as a fresh baked cookie on the inhale and a banana cinnamon flavor on the exhale – a complex blend with elements coming to the forefront at different stages in your draw. The description is pretty much spot on: the sweet cookie flavor starts off your puff, then is accompanied by warming cinnamon on the nose and a whooshing hit of well-captured banana on the exhale. The cinnamon melds in nicely with the other components, and while it doesn’t pop out as much, it’s definitely detectable throughout.
Overall: Derailed is one of my favorites from the selection from Suicide Bunny: it’s a multi-tonal flavor with the perfect amount of sweetness from the cookie, some authentic fruitiness from the banana and the final warming touches from the cinnamon. The combination sounds excellent on paper, and the execution definitely lives up to it – if anything, the components work even better together than you imagine they will. It’s an all day vape for me, and one I’ll definitely be picking up another bottle of.
Mother’s Milk – Rating 5/5
Accuracy: Mother’s Milk is the most popular flavor from Suicide Bunny – it’s pretty much legendary – and promises a rich, creamy dessert flavor with a strawberry exhale. Again, the description hits the nail on the head. It starts out with that rich, beautifully-captured Suicide Bunny creamy flavor – which is subtle enough to allow other flavor notes to come through but still packing the velvety sweetness you’re looking for – and the strawberry on the exhale is authentic-tasting and pleasantly light. The result is exactly as described, so there are no complaints on the accuracy front.
Overall: This juice may have a little too much hype around it, but it’s very easy to see why that is. It’s a thoroughly delicious e-juice that makes a perfect all day vape and is hard to imagine anybody really disliking – it’s easy to expect too much due to the hype, but the hype is there for a reason. The taste combination is exquisite, the components have been captured exceptionally well and the flavors are expertly balanced, with the always-awesome creamy backdrop (like most of the Suicide Bunny juices) topped off with some added sweetness and authentic fruitiness from the strawberry. Don’t go into it expecting the best taste ever, but it’s widely voted among the best e-juice flavors on the market for good reason. In short: don’t buy Suicide Bunny juices without picking up a bottle; you’ll love it.
