Bought my first V2 back in 2016 for 125.00. When I first got it, I was a little skeptical taking it out of the packaging. I thought “Jeez, I spent how much on this tiny little thing? What am I doing?” It wasn’t until I put a build in and vaped it that I understood what I had actually purchased. It was love at first toot, so to speak. The ease of use, the build deck, and the flavor, my god. The airflow still to this day is one of, if not, THE smoothest and best airflow I’ve ever experienced on any atomizer to date. Just an all around fantastic bit of kit. There have been times where it sits on the corner of my desk untouched for months, sometimes even years. I’ve also owned many other fantastic RDA’s and MTL tanks that have gotten some heavy use and, but for some reason, I always find my way back to my Velocity V2. It’s just got that special something about it that you don’t get from vape gear anymore. Fast forward six years later, I fire up old faithful again and decides to look and see if Avid was still around. Not only are they around, but 49 bucks for this amazing RDA?!?!? Buying a second one was a no-brainer. Whenever my friends who vape ask me what a good RDA is to either start dripping or maybe they want to change it up, this RDA is without question the first recommendation out of my mouth. I’d buy a third for the price I paid back in the day, but now that they’re under 50 bucks makes it just that much sweeter. Cannot recommend this enough. This atty will forever be a part of my vape arsenal.

I had one of these a few years back and sold it, what a huge mistake. I’ve tried many different Rda’s over the years but nothing even touches it, it’s that good I had to get another 2. You can keep all your new design postless decks etc, this is the best designed deck ever made and in my opinion cannot be beaten. The vape you get from this gem is unrivalled, flavour and clouds. Thank you for designing such a well built quality product. This is the best.

I purchased my first velocity v1 7yrs ago. I have used it every day since. you will need to replace the o rings on a regular basis. this is something my other rda never made it to. once they went bad I was pretty much back to my old standby the velocity. well, after 7yrs I started thinking what would happen if I lost it or heaven forbid it broke. which I don't know how it would. pretty much bullet proof. I recently purchased a v2 version and just like its dad, its awesome. the only flaw I can mention is the threaded drip tip, use caution when detaching and reinstalling the threads can get stripped on the drip tip itself. I recommend purchasing a few drip tips for the velocity from double helix design they make some great velocity drips tips. thanks AVID for the great products. 24ga kanthal A1 from lightning vapes 6 wraps not spaced 3.0mm comes in about .3ohms. at 43watts.

Considering the plethora of RDAs with a "Velocity-style" deck, I became very interested in trying the real thing. I expected to find authentics long out of stock (it's 2019 here), so I was very pleasantly surprised to find that I was mistaken. The fact that they are now half of their original price convinced me to buy one very quickly. I'm glad I did!
The Velocity deck is one of the most versatile I've used. The options are practically endless, and I won't even get into (non-destructively) modding the deck for fat single coils! The airflow design on this thing is really great too. Very easy to adjust how you want it. Others have said that the machining on the Velocity is perfect, and I will say it is very good, but I noticed straightaway a few metal burrs around the edges of the indirect airflow holes, however these were removed easily by reaming them out with a piece of 26g 316L wire. Another slight gripe to mention is that the threads on my topcap were very squeaky at first when adjusting the airflow, but they seem to have smoothed out after a bit of use. Neither of these issues are much to complain about in my opinion. Some nice touches are the little dimples to help line up the topcap with the base, and the threaded chuff cap and 510 drip tip adapter, though I sort of wish they were also made of SS for the sake of longevity. If you're careful, I think they will still last a long time.
It was smart of Avid Vaper to cut the price in half, considering the quality and affordability of many RDAs these days, and in that respect, I think that this one is well worth the $60 today. I believe that these are also no longer being manufactured, so what you are buying is essentially NOS. Get one while you can, and throw in an extra pack of O-rings!

Apparent quality, some flaws

I used the Velocity V2 RDA with its included BF pin.
The design is clever and the construction is very good - the quality is apparent.
I really like the airflow control, and the way the base of the atomizer stays "locked" when the cap is fitted according to instructions. The drip tip is quite nice, too. The extras and spare parts that are included are numerous.
I've discovered that I am not able to coax full flavor from this atomizer, and I don't know why. I've tried plain wire contact coils, spaced coils, different gauges, and staggered fused claptons.
I've tried positioning the coils every which way in relation to the airflow. I've tried wattages from about 40W to around 110W, and I've tried bottom airflow only, and various amounts of top airflow along with it.
The vape has a way of always seeming too smooth and cool, and I am not able to get the warmth nor the flavor I'd like.
Ultimately this is not the atomizer for me.
The small flaws are of little concern, but here they are:
- the extra sets of grub screws ( slot head and phillips ) are flat-bottomed, making it impossible to trap 26ga plain wire or smaller. The third set of grub screws that come preinstalled have curved-bottomed, and are fine.
- the juice well is on the small side, after all it's a 22mm atomizer. Be warned when squonking or dripping.
- the atomizer is messy. Vapor collects on the ledge of the atomizer base and gradually weeps out through the air flow slots. Also there is leakage around the 510 connector threads. Maybe this is a side-effect of using the included BF pin, but I haven't had this issue with my other squonking atomizers.
In the end, this really is a very nice atomizer with a few of the usual issues that I feel are insignificant but might be an issue for others. I was not successful using the atomizer in my never-ending quest for flavor *and* clouds, so I've moved on.
I enjoy having it in my collection.

With the air control options, to the easy to build on deck. This is the best Rda I've ever had. The machining on these are the best I've seen thus far. You can tell they take the time to make sure their product is in tip top shape before it goes out to the customer. Just waiting for a velocity 24mm now. Would definitely be my next and only Rda purchase.

From all of the different RDAs I have used, the Velocity V1 killed it. With this, I was skeptical about the V2 but decided to try it out. Might have been one of my best purchases because the V2 out did the V1. I used to have a big problem with the V1 where after a while of vaping, there would be juice all over the top cap. This is not an issue with the V2 at all. I sometimes even forget to clean the top cap because it's never drenched with juice all over. Also, the cap alignment registration mark is money when trying to center it. This RDA is by far the best RDA out there with the flavors 10/10 and the conductivity a 10/10.

This is by far the best RDA I've owned to date. I have been vaping for about 3 years and have tried my share of drippers. The materials and workmanship on this atomizer are far above average and the vape is as smooth as silk. I love the fact that I can set it up for flavor, immense vapor or somewhere in between. At the current price this RDA is a steel.

I was really tired of buying cheap clones one of which I just had a horrible experience with and ended up throwing in the garbage. Your buyers remorse will go away when you use this RDA and you will know where the extra money went. The materials and craftsmanship on this RDA are top notch. Best vape I have ever had, I could never go back to a clone again. Worth every penny and I know it will last me a long time.

I've had the Velocity V1 for over a year and decided to get the V2 cuz I figured it's already awesome so the V2 must be equal or better. And it sure is. Love me some V2.

I just started vaping and immediately became interested in building because it reminded me of making wire/bead jewelry, something I dabbled in a few years ago. This RDA is very easy to build on, and the craftsmanship is stellar. I love it!!

I had tried to get a V1 for months, but looks like I missed the original V1s by the time I started dripping. This V2 is machined so well, and the slightly shorter height is appreciated. The build deck everyone here knows is just the best; nothing easier to build 2 coils on.
Great flavor, big clouds, easy to build and re-wick.

I have both Velocity droppers and they are superb in everyway. Now, we need a V3 25mm version. Cisco and Dino, is this going to happen? Man I hope so. Will be a first day purchase for a lot of people, including myself.

This is one of the best RDA'S on the market. The originator of the Velocity styled deck. My only minor gripe (and I do mean minor) is the bottom pin isn't like the one shown. Mine did come with 2 pins. One for normal usage, and another for sqounking. I am sure Avid has their reasons why the changed it and I won't argue with it.

This is the only rda i use any more, i had a clone v1 and loved it so i had to support the original makers of this rda and you do get what you pay for because this rda is 100% perfect, i couldn't find a single flaw with it, cant wait to see what you come out with next...

I hesitate to use the word perfect because there is nothing in real life that is perfect. But with the Velocity v2 is just that, PERFECT. I'm using it as a squonker and loving it. I'm running a single coil, SS 26g, 2.5mm, 11 wraps at 24w's. I couldn't believe how smooth the airflow is comparing it to other atty's out there. The flavor is great. I'm loving life.

This RDA is unbelievable - all wires I have installed in it have worked perfectly. The vapour and flavour are the best I have had from any RDA and I own quite a few. I live in the UK and the shipping was amazing I received my Velocity on 4 days! Can't wait to see what little gem Cisco comes up with next - I sure it will be amazing - I'm one happy vaper

Quality, Quality, Quality. Everyone imitates it, some try to duplicate it, but none can beat it. Posts are beafy and will take any build you can think of. Airflow is redonkulous. You can have a little for flavor or you can open this thing up and have massive airflow for clouds bro clouds. But mostly it is just a top notch quality piece. No machine oil when it arrived. Good weight on it. Everything fits very precise. V1 was ahead of its time. V2 doesn't let you down. Well worth the price tag.

Couldn't ask for more. Endless possibilities. Locking mechanism allows for removal from mod without disassembling RDA. Quad hole dual post allows for building any coil possible with ease. I can go on and on. FORGET ABOUT YOUR DOTMOD OR KENNEDY (even though they are great they don't compare) OR ANY OTHER RDA. This is the one you want, a true diehard that puts itself in the forfront of design and quality. Cisco is also extremely helpful and provides excellent customer service. If your questioning buying a V2 because of the price then stop. Stop wasting your time being indecisive and pick one up. You won't miss the cash after vaping on it. All your RDA's will soon find themselves on the back burner after you own a V2. Authentic is the only way to go.... Drop the clone and support the originators. You will not regret it.

It is so wonderful when a product lives up to all the hype. The machining is impeccable, the design created a class all in its own and the performance is second to none. This still to date is the best RDA available.
This doesn't just live up to all of the hype, it exceeds it.

Product arrived fast, comes in pretty cool package and inside is the velocity along with all the extras you get with it, screws o-rings, drip tips, tool, and a authenticity card , have been rocking this on my new TITAN and HEX OHM and i have to say it is the best RDA out on the market hands down, well worth the money.. so if anyone out there is looking for a top quality RDA the Velocity is the way to go, save your money don't buy all those clones out there get the real deal you won't regret it!!!!

Can't beat Avid R&D, hands down the best RDA I personally have had for good Cloud and Flavor. I am currently using the Squonking feature on a Kangar 160Squonk box at 75 watts and it performs beautifully and I don't even have to drip.

First off, I'd like to start by saying that i have been waiting for a VERY long time for the opportunity to purchase one of these! I missed the boat on the v1, so i made sure not to miss out on the v2. Avid Vapor does an extremely good job with getting this product out their customers in a timely manner! Two days after ordering it was in my hand! I'm very pleased with the flavor i get out of my Velocity, probably one of the best flavor chasing rda's out there! I have to say though, i was a bit disappointed with the manufacturing of this rda. For the price you would expect absolute perfection! The tolerances are a little on the loose side, and the threading is VERY sharp! I sliced up my finger giving it a once over cleaning before it's first use, granted it came very clean and had no machine oil. I'm a collector, and always wash all of my rda's before i use them! So, other than that this rda definitely lives up to it's name! Props to Ciso and Dino for this awesome creation, and an absolute game changer in the vaping industry! If you're looking for an rda the has endless amounts of airflow adjustments, easy build deck, and exceptional flavor, then this should be your choice! Price is a bit too high imo, especially considering what else is out there for a lot less. But, if you can afford it it's definitely worth adding to the collection! Thx Avid!

I finally got my authentic velocity. In comparison to the clone the build quality is significantly better. I'm highly impressed. The one thing I am not impressed with at all, is that the top cap has a slight wiggle to it when it's on. I'm actually pretty upset about it. The clone did not do that at all. After paying 135 dollars I didn't think I would have one complaint because I have been a velocity lover since I first heard about it. The tolerances on the o rings aren't as tight as I'd would have expected and I'm pretty upset that it has that wiggle given the price paid .

Was super stoked to finally get one and man it did not disappoint.... Super easy to build on plenty of air flow options pretty awesome quality .... Great cloud production too idk my only complaint would be the o ring that holds my indirect air flow in place isn't quite tight enough and moves around on me when it is in my pocket but over all I would defiantly buy another one

I started vaping like most, and spent a large sum of money in search of the perfect RDA. With Velocity 1, I knew I'd found it. The Velocity 2 just builds on the concept of easy builds and great flavour. My all day vape.

I've been using rebuildable dripping atomizers for 3 years now on a daily basis. All styles, from the original Cyclone to the Zenith v2. After a few days with the Velocity v2 I feel confident in saying that this is far and away the best RDA I have ever used. Cisco and Dino hit the nail on the head. It feels like every aspect of this atty was deisgned to cater specifically to my needs. I know I'm not alone in this! Buy with confidence.
