E-Cigarettes: Making up Facts?
By Ecigarettereviewed Posted August 25, 2012
It seems like those who are opposed to electronic cigarettes are not able to find real hardcore evidence to support their theories. So, to compensate they just make it up (read: the most common e-cig myths). Dr. David Abrams states that folks would give up smoking completely if electronic cigarettes were not there to be their crutch. Dr. Abrams has no evidence to support his statement. He was the coauthor of a study that stated that over seventy percent of e-cigarette users assumed that they were a safer option than traditional tobacco.
There is a lot of professional research which shows that Dr. Abrams’ theory is both unsupported and ridiculous. The Polosa Study showed that over fifty percent of tobacco users either quit or at least cut back on the amount of tobacco products that they used once they began using an electronic cigarette. Electronic cigarettes are not perfect by any means, but they are a much healthier alternative than smoking traditional tobacco cigarettes.
Electronic cigarettes have become increasingly popular not just due to the fact that they are a healthier option than tobacco, but also because they are also more cost friendly. Smokers can save an absurd amount of money by choosing to make the switch to electronic cigarettes. Some brands of electronic cigarettes are cheaper than others. It's important that you do some research before ordering your e-cig product. Read through the e-cig reviews written by users and experts and find out the best e-cigarette that suits you.
Clearly, more research needs to be conducted to learn more about what kind of benefits electronic cigarettes have to really offer besides hype. Consumers can assume these products are here to stay and are not just a passing fad.
